least until his eleventh birthday. At that time he hears that
he should go to a school for witchcraft and magic. This school
is called "Hogwarts". And so for Harry this first year in
Hogwarts becomes the most exciting and happiest year in his
life. He "falls" from an adventure in another, must fight
against monsters, other pupils and has many troubles with the
teachers. But he has found many friends who helps him in the
fight against the dark power. This story takes place in
Harry's house and the school of magic and wizardry. In this
book Harry Potter is trying to fit in with the others at his
new school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and to
learn magic. Harry's adversary in this story is the Dark Magic
Lord Voldemort, who is responsible for killing Harry's
parents. The story takes Harry through his first year of
school. Glass Table Lamps, This book was good and bad to me.
It was good because I like to read about adventure and
fantasy. It was bad because it was a long book and it took
forever to get to the point of the story. I only recommend
this book to kids and adults who are interested in books that
involve adventure and fantasy. This book is by far the best
book my friend's and I have ever read! J.K. Rowling a
compelling author and she is extremely talented and should
keep writing I am just upset that their are just 7 books in
the series! For a ten year old Harry Potter has a miserable
life with his awful relatives. He then receives a letter
telling him of a wonderful place free of his cousin Dudley.
Harry thinks he's dreaming but there he finds friends, fun, a
sport played by riding on a broomstick, and danger after he
learns one of the most powerful sorcerers in the world killed
his parents and tried to kill him is coming back into power,
Glass lamps, and try and kill him again, but not if Harry
Potter can stop him! |
